When Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Bob Chapek amazed us all at D23 Expo with a series of jaw-dropping announcements on what’s to come at Disney parks and resorts, there were so many exciting updates, chances are you missed a few.
Today, we’re sharing new video highlighting some favorite moments from the recent peek into how the next generation of immersive storytelling is coming to life at Disney Parks.
As you can see, we’re embarking on one of the most extraordinary periods of expansion in Disney history. And Bob Chapek kicks off our new video with the all-new parade called Magic Happens at Disneyland Resort.
Here are some other highlights included in the video:
- The first Disney ride-through attraction to feature Spider-Man opens at the Avengers Campus, beginning in 2020 at Disney California Adventure park and later at Disneyland Paris.
- Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Animation Studios have joined forces with Cirque du Soleil at Disney Springs to create a show that combines Disney storytelling and heart with Cirque du Soleil’s signature artistry.
- Epcot will be unified with four neighborhoods that each celebrate a unique aspect of what makes Epcot so special.
- World Showcase at Epcot will welcome the first attraction inspired by Mary Poppins in Cherry Tree Lane, which will join the United Kingdom pavilion as an entirely new neighborhood!
- Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World Resort will be a new, first-of-its-kind vacation experience where guests will check-in for a two-night adventure aboard a glamorous starship called the Halcyon.
- At Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, both children and adults will have the opportunity to face off against a training remote while wielding a lightsaber.
- Disney Genie is a revolutionary new digital offering that will enhance the way guests plan for and experience a trip to Walt Disney World Resort
- Disney Cruise Line guests can look forward to a new Disney port of call located on the breathtaking island of Eleuthera at a place called Lighthouse Point.
- The Disney Wish is our fifth Disney Cruise Line ship.
