In Southern California, we are experiencing some much-needed rain this holiday season. However, don’t let a little rain put a damper on your plans at the Disneyland Resort! Follow these tips and receive a “sprinkling” of extra excitement during your visit!

Prepare for seasonal weather: It’s a good idea to wear comfortable, warm clothing and water-resistant shoes. I also recommend packing an extra pair of socks! If you forget anything, most merchandise locations offer ponchos and umbrellas, as well as comfy sweatshirts, sweaters and spirit jerseys themed to the season!

Experience holiday-favorite indoor attractions: Be sure to stop by the festively transformed “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland park. They will put you in the holiday spirit, and keep you dry! There are plenty of other fun indoor attractions to experience; check out the full list on Disneyland.com.

Sip on a yuletide brew: As part of Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure park, enjoy the Festival Foods Marketplaces featuring a variety of delicious destinations with plenty of seasonal food and beverages. I recommend the Warm Peppermint Chocolate Float at Winter Sliderland Marketplace, which will keep you toasty while walking around the parks. Pair it with the Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Macaron from the Making Spirits Bright Marketplace.

Enjoy warm hugs: Cozy up in one of our theaters and experience great entertainment. I always love sitting back and enjoying “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” in Disney California Adventure park. Afterwards, head to Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome at the Disney Animation building and say hello the sisters who are now appearing in their new looks inspired by the “Frozen 2” film.

Shop ‘til you drop: The Disneyland Resort is the perfect place to shop for everyone on your list! Check out our Gift Guide and get your shopping done! I like to recommend checking out Emporium in Disneyland park, which has a little bit of everything, including a fantastic selection of holiday-inspired merchandise. For character-inspired home décor, kitchenware, bedding, holiday pet items and more, head to Disney Home at Downtown Disney District!
