Each year, Disneyland Resort cast members who contribute $1 per week to the Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund are eligible to nominate a nonprofit organization of their choice for a grant up to $5,000. This year, cast members funded 84 grants to local organizations of their choice, totaling more than $400,000.

One of the recipients, Canyon Rim Elementary School in Anaheim, will use its $5,000 grant to help upgrade technology in the school’s classrooms and STEAM lab. The school was nominated by Jason Smith, director of Planning and Industrial Engineering at Disneyland Resort, who is a Canyon Rim parent with fifth- and sixth-grade students.
