In the short “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” Mickey and Pluto cut down their own tree for the holidays, and unknowingly, bring Chip and Dale inside their house. The brothers are immediately enamored with the lovely decorations Mickey and Pluto place on the tree – but nearly end up ruining the decor as Pluto chases them around the house.

This short inspired today’s Disney Doodle, in which artist Ashley Taylor imagines what Chip and Dale would do if they could visit Disney Springs.

“Chip and Dale marveled at Mickey’s Christmas decorations in the 1952 short ‘Pluto’s Christmas Tree,’” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine them wanting to help decorate the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs.”

Comments

  • Philip– Chip ‘n’ Dale are two anthropomorphic chipmunk brothers created at Walt Disney Productions in 1943

  • Correction: Chip and Dale are not brothers. They’re just best friends and roommates.
