As Walt Disney once said, “You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world… but it takes people to make the dream a reality.”

For years, you’ve been telling us all about our exceptional cast members by using #CastCompliment on social media. Now, in honor of National Compliment Day, we want to share your stories!

Keep sharing your #CastCompliment’s and you may see them featured on our social channels.

You aren’t the only ones who take the time to compliment our incredible cast members – they recognize each other, too! Since 2015, Walt Disney World Resort cast members have shared compliments, messages of gratitude and recognition – or grape sodas, as we like to call them – more than 2 million times through an internal program called Recognize Now!.

So celebrate with us! Tell someone why they are great and spread kindness. Whether it’s a cast member bringing the magic of Disney to life, or just someone who made your day a little easier — recognize them and make the World a little bit brighter.

  • I wanted to give a thank you to the cast at the El Mercado restaurant at the Destino Tower at Coronado Springs. Our second morning there, we went to breakfast when my daughter and I were there visiting for her birthday and they sang happy birthday to her with a treat and a candle, making her trip even more magical!!! We truly appreciated it!! Thank you so much to the cast for doing that!!

  • In our recent trip to celebrate my daughters birthday we went to the Magic Kingdom. One of our favorites is the Haunted Mansion!! We had Fast Pass scheduled there around 6 p.m and the cast member who took us into the mansion room to enter was AWESOME!!!!! He was truly in character and really fit the part. I truly appreciated it. He made the ride sooooo. much better by being there and was great!!! I wish I had the cast member name but he was great as we entered the room that “expanded!!” and was truly a part of the Haunted Mansion!! Thank you Disney.

  • I wanted to share, the day we went to Hollywood Studios in our recent trip was great. It actually started with our bus ride, and the cast member SCOTT on the Disney bus transportation was wonderful. He told jokes on the way there and really started our day GREAT!!! He was over and above welcoming and really a true Disney cast member. Thank you!!

  • I took my daughter to celebrate her birthday, how wonderful the cast was!! We went to dinner at Chef de France in Epcot and the waiter was WONDERFUL. They sang to my daughter and the food was great! Thank you to the waiter!!!!

  • Our family enjoyed a wonderful breakfast this morning with Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and some characters from Splash Mountain. Not only was the breakfast great but the cast members signed to our Deaf son. It was an amazing experience for our family! It was truly magical. Thank you so much to Emily from Colorado and the characters! This is an experience we will never forget. We cannot thank them enough for the awesome interaction.

  • I visit the parks often and always look for opportunities to leave a #castcompliment for Cast Members who go above and beyond to make extra magic for guests.

My only sadness is that I can’t leave #castcompliments for the characters as they make every single visit truly an exceptional memorable experience. I have TONS of great memories of interacting with them and hope they realize even if they are not formally recognized just how special they are!

  • I love national compliment day it brings warm feelings to my heart
