runDisney is excited to introduce Club runDisney, a new, unique membership opportunity for runners. Club runDisney will offer three different one-year-long membership levels – Silver, Gold, and Platinum – featuring a range of special benefits that will run from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021.

All Club runDisney members will receive a welcome package including an exclusive jacket, and will have access to the lowest race registration pricing all year, a new Virtual 10K in Fall 2020 that is exclusively for Club runDisney members, and special Club runDisney designation on race bibs during on-site events. All of these benefits are included with a Silver Membership.

Gold Membership will include these perks, along with early registration access with a guaranteed spot in the half marathon or marathon distance each race weekend.

Platinum Membership will have all of these benefits, plus early registration with a guaranteed spot in one distance each race weekend; upgraded corral placement; and an exclusive Expo experience with early admittance to the runDisney Merchandise Shop, a special character meet and greet, and access to a Club runDisney Lounge with expedited race packet pick-up.

Club runDisney memberships will go on sale on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 10 am ET, just prior to the start of the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. If you’re interested in learning more, check out https://www.rundisney.com/club-rundisney/ or visit the Club runDisney booth at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Health & Fitness Expo, which kicks off Wednesday at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

  • I want to be excited about this because I love these runs. I do a few every year but the truth is they can get expensive. For me, I travel to come and do the two course challenges. I know I’m not the only one who would love the advantage of having early registration, but for 500 extra dollars its not feasible. I hope people like me still have the opportunity to do these runs.

  • It has been impossible to get into the registration and sign up when they become available. So I have to join this club to get in on a run? I can see all 2020 runs cancelled.

  • Like the run Disney Club idea. Enjoy the run Disney races at WDW but miss the races at Disneyland. Sure would like to do another coast to coast challenge. Understood the Disney / Anaheim relationship may be a little tense right now but run Disney races are a benefit to all plus very enjoyable. I hope Anaheim and Disney can come to terms and bring the Disneyland run Disney races back from hiatus. Wow would it not be wonderful to do the Kessel Run through both Star Wars Lands at WDW and Disney Land! Just saying.

  • Club RunDisney is a great idea! But would love to see Anaheim come back. Running a 10k in both Disneyland and California Adventure was the absolute best experience in my 30 year running career.

  • Let’s run the streets of Anaheim again!

  • I agree, bring back the Anaheim races!

  • Bring back the Anaheim Races!

The perks that you suggest don’t move me. As pointed out by more than one commenter above, those who want to rundisney are on top of their registration. A guaranteed registration means nothing. To make this option attractive to me, offer some Park perks, like a special character meet and greet, and access to a Club runDisney Lounge before and after the races with expedited race packet pick-up. The virtual run has no value to me. In prior years, I scheduled my dates to run the November and January races and bought annual passes so my wife and I could enjoy Disneyland while I enjoyed running my 5K, 10K and half marathon races.

  • I completely agree with most of the above comments:
    * if there were races in Anaheim again and access was reasonable for West Coast individual
    * cost of the races already leaves out many individuals, perks not worth it
    * perks should include the registration to a race or at least half price; maybe entrance into one park – something more than a little wording on a bib
    * I have never missed registration to a race I wanted to attend – early registration is not a perk

Better shirts and more perks for all races would be appreciated

  • Definitely something I would sign up for if their were races in Anaheim again, but since all the races are too far to be reasonable, I’ll give it a pass.

  • The idea of a club is a fun one indeed, but I think you need to retool these perks. Ppl that are into Run Disney usually are on top of race registration dates. Coats and bibs are great and all but really don’t sweeten the deal. If there were special club only events or perhaps small park incentives it might make the club concept a little more worth while.

  • This is a great idea and cannot wait to sign up!

  • Sorry to be a flea on the dog but I do have some concerns. Please do not make these run events about privilege. Some struggle financially to be a part of the greatest running events in the world. To have to pay to be guaranteed a race spot takes away a spot from someone who is playing by the same rules as the rest of us. Corral placement upgrades takes away from those of us that qualifies for that spot. It also creates a dangerous situation as the slower person in a higher corral will be passed creating trip and fall issues and ankle and knee injuries. One slower person can effect 10x the people behind.

  • Very Sad

  • BRING BACK THE ANAHEIM RACES!!
