Artist in Residence: Gabby Zapata 

Gabby Zapata is an illustrator and visual development artist in the animation industry. Born in sunny Los Angeles, Gabby has a passion for fun bright colors that are often reflected in her work. She majored in Computer Animation at Ringling College of Art and Design. Gabby has worked for several studios doing character designs and visual development. Along with her art, she enjoys spending time exploring new places and spending time with friends and family.

Appearance Dates: Feb. 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Artist Showcase: Jerrod Maruyama

Jerrod is an illustrator who also studied at San Jose State University and his specialty is making character designs and all things cute.

Appearance Date: Feb. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Featured Artisan of the Month: Brittney Lee

Brittney creates the kind of charming and effervescent characters that can leap to life in a wide variety of applications from traditional animation, CG animation and book illustration to stunning fine art cut paper sculptures. As a visual development artist at the Walt Disney Animation Studios, she is well-known for her work on “Frozen” and “Zootopia.”

Appearance Dates: Feb. 22-23 from 1 to 4 p.m.
