90-plus performers in vibrant costumes will soon bring the “Magic Happens” parade to life when it debuts in Disneyland park on Feb. 28. This all-new daytime spectacular celebrates moments of magic that are at the heart of so many Disney stories.

Drawing inspiration from modern fashion runways and adding a uniquely Disney flair, these pieces are on the cutting edge of design and technology. Our creative costume team gave us a tour as the team was fitting, stitching and fabricating a few of these elaborate creations. Check out the video below for this behind-the-scenes peek:

I am especially excited to see how the spirit guides, or alebrijes from “Coco,” costumes will look. What are you most looking forward to seeing?

Check back at the Disney Parks Blog for more stories showing how the “Magic Happens.”

  • Those costumes–or exact duplicates–are worthy of a show at Disney Gallery. They look to be absolutely amazing, and guests will not be able to get an in-depth look at the design and detail as the performers move down the streets of Disneyland during the parade.

    Beautiful work!
