The time has arrived! The all-new “Magic Happens” parade debuts today at Disneyland park! Witness the stunning floats, artistic costumes, energetic musical score and of course, beloved Disney characters. This incredible daytime spectacular celebrates the awe-inspiring moments of magic that are at the heart of so many Disney stories.

“Magic Happens” features nine newly designed floats, highlighting magic from classic Walt Disney Animation Studios tales such as “The Sword in the Stone,” “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty,” to more recent stories including “Frozen 2,” “Moana” and “The Princess and the Frog,” as well as Disney and Pixar’s “Coco.” The new floats were created as pieces of moving art, with their lines and aesthetic design working to tell a story along the parade route, while also evoking a sense of magic.

In addition to the stunning floats, the parade route along Main Street, U.S.A., will be filled with dynamic performers and more than two dozen Disney and Pixar characters. The parade’s costume design draws inspiration directly from modern runways, making each costume look fashion-forward, yet uniquely Disney. Many performers and characters in “Magic Happens” will don all-new costumes, specifically made for this parade.

While the music and stories seen in “Magic Happens” are rooted in iconic Disney lore, the soundtrack and choreography are heavily influenced by today’s pop culture designers, putting a contemporary spin on the classic Disney hits. “Magic Happens” features an energetic musical score and new songs, co-composed by singer-songwriter, Todrick Hall.

  • Hope this is still on in September!

  • We saw it today & it was stunning. The soundtrack was AMAZING. Any news on when that will be available?

  • I’m not one to remark or complain about Mickey but there seems to be something off about his costume…I’m not sure what it is, but I’m not a fan of it.

  • When is the soundtrack available? Anyone have an idea? I loved the remix/mash up

  • A soft, cerulean, light turquoise blue, indigo, violet purple, warm, rosy pink wizardry cloaked, crafty, creative, artistic ‘Mickey’ confidently stands in the pose of his freshly choreographed repertoire, proudly presenting his uniquely rewardable version of a golden key to the kingdom as if excitedly, happily, momentously reenacting the infamous, introductory rise of an adorably young, novice, naive, defenseless baby blonde haired ‘Simba’ at ‘Pride Rock’ in ‘The Lion King,’ only, busily substituting the wildly stark contrast of the classically, widely vast array, sprawling flat acre, land filled African jungle to ‘Disneyland’s’ significant, modern day, active, populously trafficked, social media driven, tourist packed ‘Main Street,’ instantly capturing the power of brand new, priceless memories caught on film during a much ‘buzzed about,’ mysteriously spellbinding ‘Magic Happens’ soundtracked parade, naturally featuring a characteristically beloved, colorfully matching ‘Minnie’ and friends.

Though far from the majestic fjords of ‘Norway’ and the cold of the Baltic, Scandinavian Region, the warmth of the ‘Frozen’ franchise permanently places smiles upon nearby faces.

In the quick blink of an eye, a different color scheme automatically, simultaneously, formally changes the picture strongly, convincingly focusing on the opposite side of the rainbow’s spectrum, familiarly flaring in a perfectly, memorably bright, vibrant, welcoming, fiery, paradise, tropical orange red, yellow shade just in time for the equally celebratory, visibly poignant, atmospherically festive, dually adventurous, cultural seeking arrivals of the ‘South Pacific Islands,’ floral lei sporting ‘Moana’ and representative, Hispanic, Mexican sombrero wearing ‘Coco’ ‘Disney Pixar’ cast.

  • I need the soundtrack in my life! When will it be released? I love this parade. Easily my number one favorite of all the parades since the 90s.
