A Salute to Captain Minnie Mouse

Happy Women’s History Month!

Sunday marked International Women’s Day, and at Disney Cruise Line, we celebrate all of the women who are making waves in the maritime industry! Check out some of their powerful stories.

Of course, we also want to highlight our leading lady at sea, Captain Minnie Mouse!

Since adopting her new role, Captain Minnie Mouse has stood for the message of exploring new horizons and inspiring the next generation of female leaders and young dreamers as they chart a course into their futures.

Recently we debuted a new experience for young captain hopefuls featuring none other than our newest Captain. In this maritime-themed, hands-on learning opportunity, children hone their STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills and problem-solving abilities. The activity is currently offered at Disney’s Oceaneer Lab on the Disney Wonder, and I’m thrilled that it will be available on all Disney Cruise Line ships later this year!

In honor of Captain Minnie Mouse and Women’s History Month, we’ve come up with some creative ways to celebrate. Take a look.

Emblazon your digital devices with an illustration of Captain Minnie Mouse on our brand-new digital wallpaper design! This whimsical artwork is also featured on the Captain Minnie Mouse merchandise collection available on our Disney Cruise Line ships.

You can download this wallpaper for your desktopmobile device and smartwatch – and be sure to check out the terms of use.

Captain Minnie Mouse Milkshake

Presenting the Captain Minnie Mouse Milkshake, made with berry gelato, strawberry compote and fresh berries and topped with strawberries and freshly prepared whipped cream (which itself is a secret Disney Cruise Line recipe). The pièce de résistance is the delicious shortbread cookie featuring none other than our Captain!

Captain Minnie Mouse Cupcake

Encased in a nautical-navy anchor wrapper, the Captain Minnie Mouse Cupcake is made with rich chocolate fudge and topped with vanilla frosting and golden candy sprinkles.

Guests aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will find these seafaring treats at Vanellope’s through March 15 and Sweet on You through March 13.

Here’s to Captain Minnie Mouse and all of the #WomenBehindTheMagic!
