A beautiful daybreak can bring happiness to an entire day. And over the years, we’ve captured many joy-invoking sunrises at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park from the morning light framing the magnificent floating mountains of Pandora – The World of Avatar to bright rays awakening the iconic Tree of Life.

In a special #DisneyMagicMoments, our friends at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are sharing their favorite sunrise photos from the archives. Take a look at some Monday morning magic:

There’s more Monday morning magic today. Walt Disney Imagineering, which helped bring Pandora – The World of Avatar to life with amazing engineering and art design, is sharing a few special park sunrises on their Instagram account @Waltdisneyimagineering.

And Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment, is posting a few of his favorite photos on Instagram @DrMarkAtDisney.

We also wanted to share a 2019 sunrise image from the park’s Harambe Market where you’ll find a special saying written on a wall – “It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from. We are all children of the world.”

From our sunrise to yours, good morning and have a magical Monday!

Also, during our temporary closure, keep checking the Disney Parks Blog during Earth Month as Disney’s Animal Kingdom continues its ongoing focus on renewable energies, waste reduction, water conservation and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

  • Thank you, I cannot wait to go back to Disney. As an annual pass holder, my husband and I look forward to our trips. We usually go at least once a month but sometimes more. Keep doing what you do ..

  • God willing I will be there for my trip I have booked for August. I love Animal Kingdom and I am really looking forward to dining at Tiffins for the first time. I am an Annual Passholder and am having a hard time with not being able to be there right now.

  • And this is part of why I bought my DVC at AK lodge when Copper Creek was being pushed. There will be a great big beautiful tomorrow, it’s just going to be a bit.

  • I got engaged in Animal Kingdom in October and was supposed to be there now for my bachelorette trip :(. Times are really tough here in New York and these pictures give me hope for a “great big beautiful tomorrow!” Thank you to all the magic makers at Disney and for taking care of the animals during this time!

  • Thank you for the pictures of the big cats! Love the tigers!!

  • I always enjoy every single moment in Disney World but I think my next trip will be extra sweet, I will most probably shed a tear or two when I see it again.

  • Animal Kingdom is such a beautiful park! I always spend the first full day of my trip there and the last full day of my trip there. Dinner is always at Tiffins. It’s so relaxing to stroll around the park and visit with all the animals. Really looking forward to going back.
