#DisneyCruiseLife at Home: Ultimate Fan Challenge: Decorate Your ‘Stateroom’ Door

Ashley Long

by , Cruise Director, Disney Cruise Line

If you’re looking for a fun way to “seas” the day and create some Disney Magic Moments in your household, we have the ultimate Disney Cruise Line challenge for you. Today, we are bringing one of our favorite traditions from our ships into your home by giving you everything you need to decorate your best “stateroom” door at home!

As one of your Cruise Directors, one of my favorite traditions is walking through the ship and seeing stateroom doors filled with decorations. With a little pixie dust, now you can keep that tradition going and bring the spirit of Disney Cruise Line onshore and into your household. Use the directions below to turn one (or all!) of the doors in your home into replicas of a Disney Cruise Line “stateroom” door!

March Magic 2016 Bracket

We have everything you need to decorate your door in one place. Just download and print this kit filled with fun decorations for your doors, and please be sure to check out the  terms of use  about using the kit before you download it. From Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse to beach-themed cutouts, let your imagination run wild as you use this fun artwork to re-create this Disney Cruise Line tradition in your household!

Be sure to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for more #DisneyMagicMoments from Disney Cruise Line.

  • Welcome to the blog Ms. Ashley!

  • Ashley! We have such fond memories of you from our 2018 Alaska cruise! The kids have taken this so far as to come up with activities from the Oceaneers Club, hung their fish extender, and watched the Classic Mickey on DisneyNOW. Now, I just need “Good Morning, Wonder”… I hope you are staying well. Thanks for bringing the fun!

  • We have a scheduled Disney Cruise for June 20, 2020. I was asking the DCL Representative about this tradition and She had no earthly idea about decorating any Cruise ship doors. Would you mind filing me in on the in’s & out’sof this tradition. Would greatly appreciate it. Keeping our fingers crossed in hopes they don’t cancerl our upcoming Cruise. 🤞🏽 Thank you & Lot’s of Love To All.

  • Thanks Ashley, my wife and I were on the Wonder out of NOLA back in February and really looked forward to the morning run downs. Hope everyone on the ship is doing well and staying safe.
