Each day during these times of uncertainty, we are thankful for the dedicated cast members who are still here to ensure the magic of Disney stays alive at our Parks and Resorts. Today, we want to share #DisneyMagicMoments with you from Walt Disney World Resort President Josh D’Amaro.

Josh shared on his Instagram account the daily flag raising as captured by the security team on duty:

“While our world looks very different today, one thing endures…the American flag still flies over Walt Disney World. I’m inspired how our Security Cast Members continue to raise it each and every morning at Magic Kingdom while they are on duty protecting the magic. It’s a symbol that we’re still here and will not falter. I hope this inspires you as well. We will be back. Thanks to all our incredible Cast Members who continue to maintain the magic until that day. Until then, please take care of yourselves and your families. We will see you soon.”

We are thankful for the incredible #DisneyCast who continue to maintain the magic every single day. Be sure to follow Josh on Instagram and check back here on the Disney Parks Blog for similar stories.

  • Thank you for raising that beautiful flag in that beautiful place(WDW). Stay strong, stay safe, stay healthy everyone.

  • This is beautiful and gives us hope for a brighter future.

  • We miss you at the DLR, Mr. Amaro. Thanks for doing this. It’s a reminder to me of one of my favorite things at DL – the Flag Retreat Ceremony. Always brings a tear to my eye as we thank our service men and women, current and past.

  • That is SO inspiring! I’m a 50 year old who remembers when I snuck and stayed up late to watch TV and watched the Natl Anthem before the networks signed off. Disney would be awesome to do this every morning! We are Americans! My Great Grands all came for the old countryCzech, but they were Americans when they arrived in Chicago. Love love love Disney and…the new Mr Josh! Seems like he is gonna do super great things! Thank you. Pixie dust and love.

  • SUGGESTION: Wouldn’t it be GRRRRREAT in these trying times, to live-stream broadcast this when its done each day and night by the Disney Security Detail? Low to no cost to do this, camera setup on train station platform,,easy to do.

Would give all people (And the kids too!!) a great feeling of hope, and confidence that we WILL be back to Disney soon!!

  • I think most of your Disney fans are thankful for the incredible DisneyParksBlog team members who continue to bring us stories/videos about the Disney parks, and the company as a whole. We are all missing our favorite places.

    Thank you!

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Thank you for sharing!
