It’s International Dog Day and we’re celebrating the occasion on the Disney BARKS Blog (Ur…I mean Parks Blog) with a surprise ulti-mutt daylong takeover of paw-some pup merchandise of-fur-rings, “best-in-show” activities for favorite fidos, top-dog treats and other delightful Disney doggy surprises.

As many of you know, International Dog Day celebrates all dogs and encourages ownership and adoption of pups while also acknowledging lifesaving pooches and work they do to bring us comfort. So, today, in the dog days of summer, we’ve decided to dig up our most pup-ular Disney dog magic – beginning with an around-the-world look at the paw-sitively perfect styles of Mickey’s favorite pal, Pluto!

We’re celebrating Disney’s top dog Pluto with a fur-bulous collection of styles – past and present – from around the world. Visit our fur-st global roundup dedicated to the pooch with personality.

Especially for the day, we’re also sharing some paw-tastic pup fashions and doggy merchandise of-fur-ings deserving of a round of ap-paws! Find your favorites and raise the woof by checking out the new #DisneyMagicMoments doggy fashion story.

Our Disney pup-dates for International Dog Day continue with a paw-kage of activities for the dog you’re mutts about!  The activities include a one-of-a-kind doggy treat recipe, a DIY “101 Dalmatians” treat jar and more to pamper your pup. Click here for our special Disney Dog Pack of activities

Disney cast members and their four-legged friends are dynamic duos just like Mickey Mouse and Pluto! To celebrate International Dog Day, check out our story featuring cast and their canine companions

And especially for International Dog Day, we’re releasing a new digital wallpaper for your computer and mobile device.  You can download a variety of sizes in our wallpaper section.

Be sure to check out the terms of use about using the wallpaper before you download it.

And in honor of the day, we’re inviting you to take a virtual ride around Andy’s backyard aboard Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.  In this special “Ride & Learn” video, you’ll discover some fun Slinky Dog facts.

The dogs of Disney Parks are also being celebrated with a new video featuring your favorites!  Check out the My Disney Experience and Disneyland Resort Mobile apps for more exclusive videos and content celebrating International Dog Day!

And no bones about it, finding motivation to get out and exercise can be difficult sometimes.  However, for International Dog Day, our friends at runDisney are sharing some paw-some tips for bringing your dog on a run.

Disney Jr. is also sharing a special Puppy Dog Pals video on International Dog Day.

Two fun-loving Pug puppies, Bingo and Rolly, are brothers with an appetite for adventure! Whether it’s helping their owner Bob or aiding an animal friend-in-need, their paw-some missions take the pups all around the neighborhood and even around the world!

No matter where they go, Bingo and Rolly know that life is so much more exciting (and a lot more silly!) with your best friend and brother by your side.

Also, our partners at Oh My Disney, are sharing an adorable video of puppies in Disney costumes – in slow motion! And Oh My Disney and Disney Family have a few other ways you can celebrate International Dog Day:
