Aulani Resort Will Plan to Begin a Phased Reopening on November 1

Aloha!

Over the past several months we have enjoyed sharing some Aulani Resort magic with you at home. We shared peaceful scenes from the resort to help you find your Zen, an inside look at Aulani Resort, Cast Member performances of hula at home and celebrated national Lū‘au Month. Through it all, we have looked forward to welcoming families back to our vacation paradise when the time was right, and today we’d like to share our plans with you.

Given Hawaii’s recent announcement of a pre-arrival testing program for those traveling from out-of-state, we are working toward a phased reopening of Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa beginning on Sunday, November 1. And just like our other Disney destinations that have re-opened, we are using a measured approach that focuses on the health and safety of our guests, cast and community.

Our gradual, phased approach to reopening considers the guidance of local and national government and health authorities, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the U.S. Travel Association and Disney’s team of health and safety experts. This deliberate approach allows us to evaluate and adjust along the way, as circumstances and the recommendations of health authorities evolve.

Because each of us shares a responsibility for the health of our community, we will be making resources available to help make guests aware of our new policies, so they, too, can do their part.

We look forward to helping you make new memories with your family, friends and loved ones at Aulani Resort in the near future. Please continue to visit Aulani.com for updates.

  • We are finishing a week stay @Aulani (DVC villa) and it was wonderful. The grounds still feels majestic but honestly a lot of the “little D” magic has been lost so this was more of a relaxing Oahu stay vs. a unique immersive experience. So it was delightful when a bit of that magic did arrive yesterday in the form of Uncle Ito and his ukulele, singing to us on the pool deck. I’m hoping to hear the daily oli pale come by live (vs. recording) very soon too. I know there are so many challenges in these times but we feel the resort is doing a lot for guest comfort and safety. Hopefully the same is true for their wonderful staff who do a lot to make this feel like a 2nd home. Mahalo!

  • This news is the best birthday gift ever ! Our Aulani reservation for November 6 looks like it’s going to happen. From this 75 year old ❤️ to all of you, Aloha and I’m looking forward to my long awaited visit in just 41 days !!!!!

  • Is there somewhere we can find music recording of the “Aulanu Hula”? The song in the Instagram ad brought back a lot of memories!

  • Great to hear! Can’t wait to go back with our family, we miss the resort, the food, the fun! Thanks for keeping the resort and guests safe Disney!

  • Yipeee! Reservations on January might actually happen.

  • Congratulations!
