Special Halloween Entertainment Experiences Coming to Walt Disney World Theme Parks This Fall

We recently told you about some of the fall fun coming September 15 – October 31 to Magic Kingdom Park, and today I’m excited to share more details about seasonal entertainment experiences headed your way!

Throughout the day, special Halloween cavalcades will pop up on the parade route and head down Main Street, U.S.A. You could come across Mickey Mouse and his pals, all dressed up for the occasion in Boo-tiful Halloween costumes. On select days, you may even encounter a cavalcade of Disney Villains – from Gaston and Maleficent to Queen of Hearts and Jafar – creeping down the path, or a nightmarish procession featuring the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington!

As another special treat for the Halloween season, we are thrilled (and chilled!) to welcome the iconic Dapper Dans back to Magic Kingdom Park, beginning September 20, performing as their undead alter egos The Cadaver Dans. You’ll be enchanted by a cappella performances from the Cadaver Dans when they emerge from their tombs.

The Halloween spirit is also in the air over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where Minnie’s Halloween Dine is set to return to Hollywood & Vine, beginning September 25. A monster feast will be served to your table, and favorite Disney friends will make special appearances in the restaurant. You can wave and snap photos of your hostess, Minnie Mouse, dressed as a happy witch. Goofy is coming as a spooky cowboy, with Mickey Mouse as a funny vampire, and his best pal, Pluto, gets into the act wearing a cute Halloween collar.

Halloween may look a little different this year, but I’m here for it! Who else is excited for a visit to the parks this fall?

  • Hello there Disney Parks or Walt Disney World I just wanted to know pretty please if Mickey’s Not- So – Scary Halloween Party or the Character Meetings & Greetings Experiences will ever be back?

  • Walt Disney World always makes your dreams come true and your experience Magical. Halloween and Christmas are my favorite time of the year. The Disney Imagineers always make the Disney Parks look amazing… Children of all ages can be enchanted and amazed.

  • I completely agree with Cheryl! This will be our first visit to WDW and I’m disappointed to see all the ghoulish Halloween calvalcades and characters. My young girls get scared easily. Thinking about cancelling our trip….thoughts from others who have been there in person?

  • Gazelle I’m 60 and going in October, with grandkids, for our 7th visit I think. I hope you love it as much as we do.

  • I will be visiting Magic Kingdom with the family the last week of Occidental October and I am super excited! I’m 61 years old and this will be my first visit. So looking forward to the experience!

  • Yay for the villains coming out to play!

But I am overjoyed at the return of the Dapper Dans – and especially for their rare counterparts, the Cadaver Dans!

  • I am so excited to celebrate my 30th birthday in five days with the magic of Halloween!

  • Grateful for more activities in the park, but I, for one, dislike the ghoulish Halloween stuff. Wish it could remain light-hearted and whimsical. My birthday is in early October and sadly it is overshadowed by Halloween. The parks could be more pumpkiny and fall-ish instead of such a dark and creepy emphasis on the occult part of Halloween that many celebrate. We like to dress up for 1 day – on Halloween and as nothing creepy. Only because the kids dress up. All our other decorations are fall and harvest. Thanks for keeping the magic for all of who love Disney.

  • Can’t wait to see Jack and Sally!!!
