UPDATE: The viewing period of this special encore performance has ended. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more #DisneyMagicMoments!
“Candlelight Processional” is a wonderful holiday tradition for Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Each night at both Disneyland park and EPCOT, a massed choir performs songs of the season as a celebrity narrator retells the Christmas story.
Since this yuletide event isn’t happening this year, we are bringing you some virtual holiday magic with a special encore performance, which you can view below. This processional was filmed in 2019 at EPCOT and features narration by guest-favorite Neil Patrick Harris. You’ll also hear from Becky Cline of the Walt Disney Archives, who shares the storied history of the processional and why it’s become so beloved by so many.
With that, we here at the Disney Parks Blog wish you happy holidays. We hope you enjoy the show, and we look forward to being together for a “Candlelight Processional” again in the future!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! The Candlelight Processional is usually our destination right after Thanksgiving. It always gets the Christmas season started for us. I was so sad that you weren’t able to have it this year. Now we can watch it over and over again. Please know how much I appreciate this.
I see this from another perspective – from having the privilege to be in the cast choir for 5 years! Other than helping guests have a memorable time in the parks, it was the absolute highlight of my time working for the Walt Disney Company. I can remember being overwhelmed with the experience- tears streaming down my face and unable to wipe them away.
It will be all the sweeter when it returns in 2021 💕
This has been a very difficult year for all of us. Living in the UK we have been unable to travel to Walt Disney World this year so to be able to see this 2019 recording of the Candlelight Processional allows has to enjoy this experience once again, thank you. Here’s hoping that in 2021 we can all once again visit the most magical place in the world and see this exceptional performance live at Epcot.
Wishing all a Safe, Peaceful and Happy Christmas
Our family loves the Candlelight Processional and it’s at the top of our list of things do during our annual trip. It just doesn’t seem like Christmas without the magic of the holidays at WDW. Thank you for bringing us a little bit of Christmas Magic!
I haven’t been often, but I love the Disneyland Candlelight Processional. Of course, I’m not familiar with Epcot’s version, but it’s so special to be outside in Town Square, seeing the lights against the background of the night sky and all the trumpeters on top of the Main Street Train Station, and enjoying the beauty and wonder of the best Christmas story with my family and all the new friends I made while we were waiting for the show to begin. (I may get overwhelmed by the spectacle, but it feels like a glimpse of Heaven come to Earth.) It’s an experience I hope I’ll be able to enjoy again and again. Merry Christmas!
