The historic transformation of EPCOT will take another step forward in early February with “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure,” a new exhibit debuting inside The American Adventure. Featuring Joe Gardner from Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” – now streaming on Disney+ – you’re invited on a musical tour of America to learn about this inspiring genre of music.

Check out this new video from Walt Disney Imagineering’s Carmen Smith to hear more about what’s in store for this experience.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure” next month. Keep checking back with us here at the Disney Parks Blog for more updates on this and all the other excitement happening during an unprecedented time of transformation for EPCOT.

  • This is great! Jazz IS one of the only true American art forms, is part of American history, and deserves its place in The American Adventure.
I hope it will be there indefinitely.

  • I really hope this is not taking over the American adventure full time. I would hate to lose the retelling of America’s history. I guess it doesn’t help that I am not overly fond of Jazz to begin with. If this is just for Black History Month, then maybe next year it could be about Motown .. a much more beloved form of music.

  • Do you have a date for the opening?

  • Will it stay past February?

  • This is great! Glad you’re working with jazz museums!!

For Black History month, how about a Black jazz combo playing in the AA Theater? They could play the jazz standards of history. The U.S. is known world-wide for uniquely birthing jazz. (It is a better musical representation than the usual pop groups that play in the theater.)
