Just before Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa opened in 2011, people from all over the world sent our opening team video clips, notes and well wishes of congratulations and encouragement. Such a simple act of spreading a little aloha helped ready the hearts of our task force and Aulani cast to welcome guests for the first time to a Disney Resort in the Hawaiian Islands.

March 5 is National Employee Appreciation Day and we wanted to give everyone a special way to show and spread appreciation for our Disney cast. It’s often the simple words of affirmation and small acts of kindness that mean the most.  We hear from our cast that the stories of appreciation from #CastCompliments warms their hearts and affirms what it means to be a Disney cast member.  Whether they’re actively working or waiting for the opportunity to return, we want our magic makers to know they’re appreciated for who they are and deserve a special sprinkling of pixie dust in their day.

Join us in showing appreciation for our Disney cast around the world by sharing one of these virtual stickers everywhere on social with #DisneyCastAppreciation, #DisneyCastLife or even tag a cast member you know!

Let’s spread a little aloha all over the world!

  • Welcome to the blog Ms. Karlynn!

  • Much love to the tens of thousands of Cast Members who lost their jobs over the past year. We love you and the work you did every day creating magic before gigantic rounds of layoffs happened.

  • Yes all employee were great but I would like to mention Shaina at Pop Century really was awesome! She was an awesome pin trader to my grandson, which made him smile ear to ear!! Can’t wait to go back to Disney!!

  • A huge shout out to Jen Ley! Disneyland BOH cast member lead! We started working together back in 2002! In 2003 I was a lead in AdventureLand/ FrontierLand, she was always there with a helping hand!
