Enjoy a special moment as the Disneyland Resort prepares for a historic week welcoming back theme park guests after our long closure.
In the video below, watch as we go inside the gates of Disneyland park and reawaken its unique magic that our guests and cast have dearly missed over the last year. In this heartfelt presentation, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and Ken Potrock, president of the Disneyland Resort share messages of optimism and gratitude to the cast members of the Disneyland Resort.
After more than a year of closure, we are pleased to provide a glimpse of a shining symbol, awakened: Sleeping Beauty Castle in the heart of Disneyland. It is our wish that it may represent a beacon of hope for Disney fans everywhere.

Going to Disneyland as a child and then taking my own children to Disneyland to experience the magic of it all is priceless. My oldest adult son has Autism, and Disneyland was a place where he felt special and it felt magical to him, and still as an adult, I see the fire and magic in his eyes when he talks about going back someday.
Watching the castle being lit up again brought back so many memories from my childhood and even recent visits. Thank you Disney for always providing a magical place. Thank you to all the cast members who make it possible. Can’t wait to see you again Disneyland in June!!!
I’m not crying…I’m bawling! I can’t wait to visit! We had plans to visit in Oct/Nov 2020, maybe this year instead!?!? Thank you to ALL of the Cast Members for hanging in there and making Disneyland just as MAGICAL as ever!!
