For years, Disney PhotoPass Service has been the go-to for families to capture magical moments, and it’s a favorite of our planDisney panelists, mostly because the entire family gets to be in the picture! It meant no more Disney vacations with no pictures of mom, dad or your favorite uncle. What a relief! However, Disney PhotoPass Service is so much more than whole family photos! Let us explain by sharing some of the planDisney favorite options as well as some tips for linking your Disney PhotoPass memories to your My Disney Experience account:
Classic Magic Shots: Magic Shots are just that, magical! Want to take home a photo of Tinker Bell landing in your hand? Or perhaps being magically carried away by a bunch of Mickey balloons? These fun images add a little extra magic to your Disney Memories with fun overlays creating surprises in your photos. There are over 40 effects to choose from. planDisney panelists remind you to just ask your Disney PhotoPass photographer to add a little magic to your shot.
Tiny World Magic Shots: Let the Disney PhotoPass photographers put you in the center of the world at iconic locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The 360-degree capture is one the panelists can’t get enough of.
Super Zoom Magic Shots: Super fun is what the planDisney panelists call this one! You can now take home a burst of photos combined together to create a fantastic video of your entire party at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom Park, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Disney PhotoPass Studio: A favorite of planDisney panelist Tabitha D., she makes a point to stop by the Disney PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs for unique shots. “I love how you can get both fun poses and backgrounds, as well as more casual family photos that are perfect for framing. The photographers there are wonderful!”
Capture Your Moment: Did you know you there is a new way to capture magical moments with your family at Walt Disney World Resort? planDisney panelist Aena D. tells us about her experience: “Capture Your Moment is a Disney parks photo experience my family and I recently fell in love with! It’s a great opportunity to spend time one-on-one with a Disney PhotoPass photographer who helps capture picture-perfect moments during your Disney Vacation. The photographer was a pro at getting my kids to cooperate and had the most magical spots picked for us. Our photographer went above and beyond to get the perfect shot for us. We can’t wait to do this again!”

Tips for Linking Your Memories
On top of all this magic, it’s now even easier to link those amazing images to your account, and our planDisney team has some tips for you! As you may have read, Disney PhotoPass Service recently rolled out new options to access certain features of the MagicBand on your eligible mobile device as part of the rollout of the new Disney MagicMobile service at Walt Disney World Resort. One of our favorite features is that you can now automatically link your Disney PhotoPass attraction photos and videos to your account through the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device! Here’s how:
To get started with this new feature, you’ll need to do a few things: Enable Bluetooth for the My Disney Experience app before riding, ensure you’ve logged into the app sometime earlier that day, and keep your mobile device out of low power mode. Then, just put your mobile device in your pocket or bag while you enjoy the ride – we’ll take care of the rest!
This feature is now available for all 13 attractions with onboard Disney PhotoPass capture, helping you treasure special memories aboard favorites like Slinky Dog Dash, Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After and more. Plus, at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Twilight Zone Tower of TerrorT, you’ll also receive your attraction videos in your account.
For those who prefer to use MagicBands, you can continue to use a MagicBand or use your mobile device to automatically link attraction photos and videos to your account – pick whichever option works best for you. You can even use both or alternate between the two. Photo preview walls will also continue to be available at the exits of select attractions where you can tap your MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass on your mobile device, or park admission card to link your photos to your account.
