As you may have heard through the jungle vine, the world-famous Jungle Cruise will begin booking official tours once again on July 16 at Disneyland park. Alberta Falls, proprietor of the Jungle Navigation Company Ltd., is also preparing for explorers at Magic Kingdom Park, where this classic experience will be complete this summer. Disney Imagineers have collaborated on this bicoastal project to create new characters who come from around the world, with an expanded storyline and some fun surprises for you to discover.

In the video below, you’ll get an exotic bird’s eye view of the intrepid Imagineers in their natural habitat, creating magic for all of us to enjoy!

The “gnu” magic includes new adventures that stay true to the experience we know and love – more humor, more wildlife and skipper heart. At Disney Parks, we continue to look for ways to enhance classic attractions and elevate the experience for all of our guests.

The enhancements include several new scenes and new characters from around the world – beginning with a trapped safari party that finds itself up a tree after their journey goes awry. You can count on our skippers to share the unique adventure with the jokes and fun interactions that make them world famous!

Imagineers could be monkeying around a bit, up until the tour officially opens on July 16. Here’s a tip we got from the dock: Disneyland skippers are getting up to speed in their tramp steamers, and there’s a chance you may get to stow away on an early expedition starting today!

We think you’re going to love the new adventures on the Jungle Cruise! (And if you don’t, my name is Kungaloosh and you’ll love Space Mountain!)

Comments

  • I’m looking forward to riding when I go this month. It’s been so long since I’ve gotten to visit Disneyland.

  • There was nothing offensive about the Jungle Cruise. What a joke it is now… replacing a classic, fun & clever story with PC baloney. Horrible (and you’ve lost this fan).

  • On my last visit, I couldn’t hear the skipper’s jokes because of a faulty speaker in the back where I was seated. Don’t overlook the basics.

  • Kind of seems like this turned into the Jungle “Chimp” Cruise – Monkeys and more monkeys!
And no Trader Sam at Trader Sam’s Gift Shop? A huge misstep! Certainly you have created a generic non-offensive Trader Sam character calling out to the boats trying sell the guests trinkets – That would have been so much more fun than more monkeys and would have kept the Trader Sam legacy going.
