It’s officially October, the time of year when the days fall easily to shadows, and fall favorites are celebrated at the Disneyland Resort! If you’re thinking of a visit to share in the family-friendly fun of the season, there’s no time to wait! You can still experience all the thrills of Halloween Time now through Oct. 31, as well as celebrate Dia de los Muertos and the everlasting bonds of family, now through Nov. 2.

In Disneyland park, surround yourself in orange joyfulness as you stroll through the cleverly carved Pumpkin Festival on Main Street, U.S.A. Pose in front of the Mickey Jack o’ Lantern for your October “must have” photo. Don’t forget to get in on the “skellebration” at Haunted Mansion, where you can enjoy the 20th presentation of Haunted Mansion Holiday. You also won’t want to miss seasonal treats like the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich at Carnation Café or the hauntingly delicious Halloween Grey Stuff at Red Rose Taverne. Top off your wickedly wonderful time with a watch party for “Halloween Screams,” a supernatural projection and special effects show presented nightly, and enhanced with fireworks on weekend nights.*

Halloween family-friendly makeover in Cars Land and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark at Disney California Adventure park

Halloween Time is also in full swing at Disney California Adventure park, with a family-friendly makeover in Cars Land, featuring unique décor and transformed attractions. If you dare, pay a visit at night to Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, where creepy creatures and thrilling drops await you. Also, check out the unique eats in this park before they disappear! Try a Pepper-Jack Cheese Stick at Corn Dog Castle or Oogie Boogie Macaron at Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café.

Also at Disney California Adventure park, the spirit of Dia de los Muertos reigns at Paradise Gardens, as it is transformed into Plaza de la Familia. This lively cultural experience honors the Mexican tradition that celebrates family and our loved ones who have been – and will forever be – part of our lives. Enjoy “A Musical Celebration of Coco” presented several times a day with songs, dance and lively mariachi music. There is also a unique photo location at the “Arbol de la Vida” or Tree of Life installation, as well as a meet and greet with Miguel and his performer. Don’t miss the arts and crafts here as well as a scrumptious sampling of multiple Mexican specialties.
