Did you know that every food & beverage offering at Walt Disney World Resort is dreamed up in the same place? At the Flavor Lab, a small kitchen tucked away from the hustle and bustle of our theme parks and resorts, Walt Disney World chefs gather together to design and create all the tasty treats we know and love — including the EARidescent offerings available during The World’s Most Magical Celebration. Because so many delicious dishes are developed in the Flavor Lab, not a lot of cast members are granted access to the location…until now.
Earlier this month, a small group of lucky cast members were able to enter this culinary destination thanks to Magic Backstage, a cast-exclusive sweepstakes program. Not only did these sweepstakes winners receive a special tour of the Flavor Lab by food & beverage experts, but they also tasted an exclusive non-alcoholic beverage and went home with some dazzling EARidescent treats.
“I would consider this Magic Backstage sweepstakes a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” explains James Kleinschmidt, a Chef de Cuisine at the Flavor Lab. “We have a deep love for everything we create in the Flavor Lab, and it puts a smile on my face when I see a cast member enjoy the food and drink we develop here.”
