There’s EARidescent magic to be discovered in every corner of the Walt Disney World Resort during the 50th anniversary celebration. And today, our “Everything 50th” series continues with a look at exciting experiences – now and in the future – at Disney Water Parks, runDisney events and more!

Right now, dazzling 50th anniversary celebration decorations and magical touches can be seen throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney teams have created decor that shimmers and sparkles all day and into the night.

There are also new, delicious 50th anniversary menu items at Walt Disney World Resort – many inspired by Walt’s favorite dishes. At Disney’s Water Parks, celebratory treats are available now and in the future at several locations:

Avalunch at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (Snack Shack at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park when reopened)

  • Loaded Nachos with Walt’s Chili – This classic treat is upgraded for the 50th anniversary celebration and features Walt’s favorite chili atop a bed of house fried tortillas, cheese guacamole, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, sour cream and jalapeno.

I.C. Expeditions at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (Happy Landings at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park when reopened)

  • EARidescent Ice Dream Cone – Birthday cake-flavored soft serve ice cream cone served up with EARidescent accents to celebrate 50 years of Walt’s dreams that turned into reality.

And at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, you’ll find a new version of our collectible and refillable mugs featuring a giant 50 for the celebration!  The mug design includes creative art highlighting Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck with Goofy skiing hijinks in the background and can be found at different locations, including Beach Haus , Lotta Wotta Lodge and Cooling Hut. At Typhoon Lagoon, special 50th mugs will be available at Singapore Sal’s and High & Dry.

From Disney’s Water Parks to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and across the Resort, our legendary cast members are the heart of this once-in-a-lifetime celebration and they’re eager to share a little bit of their world with you during this special time.

Smiling cast members are easy to spot, wearing special nametags with the 50th anniversary castle logo above each cast member’s name, along with gold accents and a touch of pixie dust.

The magic is also calling all runners to become part of something special at runDisney events during The World’s Most Magical Celebration

  • your blog is very helpful about me. plz read more informative blog.

  • I would like to share my experiences with the current direction of the parks. I have visited WDW near 70 times and was a DVC member for near 10 years. I grew up and was at WDW on year one as a baby and now on year fifty now with my family and kids. I have never commented before on any Disney blog as I typically like to keep my experience to myself but after the last three days here at WDW I feel like I have to say something. I am currently in the middle of a family trip and have seen and experienced the poorest level of service from the company that I would have never expect from all sides. In three days at the parks my family has had the ability to ride 5 rides. 5 others broke down after nearly waiting on average over an hour each time. We have been unable to book genie + lighting passes because the app would not load or park information wasn’t available. Cast members have been extremely rude when trying to order or understand mobile food ordering which again has not functioned properly. Mind you that’s the only way to get food in majority of cases. I attempted to contact customer service earlier via my Disney experience but receive zero active response. Only an automated response that says to buy genie plus to enjoy the parks more. As a note I paid $90 a day for 6 people to try to enjoy them but the app , process and ride up time was not available to take advantage of. Ironically the only time I really got to use it I had to pay an addition $10 per person to get LL but still had to wait 30 min. This by the way is very common for the LL lines. Management really should be ashamed at the state of the park service. It use to be an experience to visit, to be part of something special. Disney was the example of how travel was made easy and customer service was measured against. Today it is no different than going to Cedar Pointe or any other regional amusement park. What I see today doesn’t even resemble what it was even 5 years ago and that’s with putting all of COVID aside. I have seen this area grow from one park to the world it is today. Of all the things that I thought would come, it would not have been the significant deterioration of what made this all special. I have had some truely great experiences and moments and thank those cast members and leaders who created the goal to measure against. Unfortunately today I am disappointed at what has been delivered. No response, no action, no magic.
