We are less than a week away from our most magical race weekend of the season, the 2022 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, taking place Jan. 5 – 9, 2022. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort over the course of four unforgettable events and two endurance challenges, runners can look to commemorate their accomplishments with event weekend merchandise. Today we are excited to share a small sneak peek at some of the offerings coming to the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo beginning next Wednesday.
Taking inspiration from the shimmery EARidescence of The World’s Most Magical Celebration, this year’s event weekend merchandise captures the magic of the events running right in the heart of the celebration. Whether you’re taking on 3.1 or 48.6 miles, runners participating in the weekend’s events will find a variety of logo performance apparel and “I Did It!” finisher products, all in various shirt and jacket styles.
Other race weekend items include the debut of a new runDisney Spirit Jersey featuring the classic Disney characters running in their anniversary-themed outfits as well as drinkware, car magnets and an ornament.
Be on the lookout for these commemorative items and more during the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend participants and guests are invited to attend during the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Friday, Jan. 7, 2022: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

When will those of us outside of the US be able to participate in virtual runs again? So disappointing that I’ve missed the virtual summer series as I had done them all previously. While travel is restricted I would also have loved to do the other runs that we were used to doing in person. We had to have our wine and dine refunded in 2020 rather than just ship the medals and switch to virtual. We would even pay the shipping premium. Please reconsider your loyal runners! Thank you!

Thanks for the great post. The new merch is gorgeous!! As a multi-race #runDisney participant, I hope you can pass on feedback about the experiences we are having at expo. There as more and more disappointed runners each race weekend that passes, watching these eBay hoarders buy up all the items before some folks even have a chance to step foot into the expo. I noticed the runDisney team has limited items to 2 each, but many runners on the forums noted people using the self-checkout feature to take advantage and ignore that posted limit (there was no one to stop them if they made multiple transactions with several items for the purpose of absurdly marking up and reselling it on eBay).
Will rD consider some additional measures to protect the limited stock of these amazing items, such as showing a bib or medal? While we realize some of it is out of runDisney’s control due to supply chain, it’s not fair that someone who can’t make it until the last day of the expo, for instance, has no shot at browsing in person and picking up something they love (if they choose not to preorder).
