It’s truly magical to experience a world-class orchestral performance with Hong Kong Disneyland’s Castle of Magical Dreams as the backdrop. The resort presented its first-ever live orchestra performance: “A Magical Nighttime Symphony” by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams with Mickey Mouse and other beloved Disney Friends by their side.

Under Conductor Chiu Tsang Hei’s lead, Music Director Ceejay Javier joined in the fun as a guest pianist for the live musical performance with popular Disney and Christmas songs. “I always approach every opportunity to perform as a way to create magic, especially since I spend most of my time now either composing or producing music for the Park,” shared Ceejay. “Opportunities like playing  piano for Kay Tse singing ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at the Disney+ Launch Special or playing Disney and Holiday tunes with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra at the castle stage have provided me with some truly unforgettable musical memories that I will treasure forever.”

Michael Moriarty, managing director of the resort added, “We are very excited working with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the flagship orchestra of our city. It brings all the magical elements together here in Hong Kong Disneyland: the spectacular night view of the castle, high-quality orchestral live performances and beloved Disney songs and stories.”

With a flick of the baton, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra came to life for a 45-minute symphony in true festive spirit.
