Nefertiti (Neffy) Sulé has a personal passion and commitment to diversity and is a champion for inclusion in her role as a recruitment leader. As a Manager for Disney Campus Technology Recruitment with Disney Professional Internships, Neffy specializes in recruiting diverse talent for software engineering, product development, design and other technology opportunities. She helps to identify applicants who will bring a diverse set of skills, backgrounds and experiences to Disney and share innovative ideas with their teams as they work on technology offerings like My Disney Experience, Disney+, Hulu and more.

Recruiting and investing in Black talent is a priority across Disney Parks, as we create more inclusive products and experiences for our guests and connect with audiences across the globe. “I love supporting our Black technology hiring initiatives, building genuine relationships with students and hiring great, underrepresented talent,” shared Neffy.

Among her many contributions to Disney, Neffy helped create Disney’s first-ever Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Tech Program, which actively recruits HBCU students for professional technology internships at Disney. In the first year of the program, Neffy and her team successfully hired incredible interns from HBCUs. Neffy stays in close contact with her recruits, because she believes her role is also about retaining and supporting amazing Black talent as they progress through their Disney careers.

Neffy is proud of this work and how it positively impacts Disney. “Authenticity and representation are essential, and when we bring our true selves to work, the company can only become stronger,” she said. The best part of her job is presenting an offer to hire a new employee for Disney. “It’s an indescribable, emotional feeling. These students all have diverse stories and challenges that they’ve overcome. The offer call, in some ways, is a new beginning,” Neffy shared. “It changes their lives and creates endless opportunities.”

  • Awesome. Cultural diversity is key in expanding and developing cutting edge technologies. Why? Because people with different backgrounds bring different approaches to solving problems.
