Celebrating 100,000 Mobile Compliments for Disney Cast Members

Since launching with The World’s Most Magical Celebration last October, the mobile cast compliment feature has quickly become a popular addition to the My Disney Experience app. In case you hadn’t heard, the feature lets guests quickly and easily share special notes of appreciation with cast members they encounter across Walt Disney World – right from their smartphone. Now, just six months in, the feature has hit a new milestone: 100,000 cast compliments!

From creating magical moments and providing recommendations to inspiring the next generation of future magic makers, we love hearing all about the positive experiences guests have shared with our cast. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this milestone alongside the heart of the magic … our cast members, of course!

In fact, we recently joined leaders in surprising the recipient of the 100,000th compliment at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  Take a look!

To access the mobile cast compliment feature, search “Cast Compliment” in the My Disney Experience app. Cast members complimented through the service receive a digital certificate, along with a notification to their leader so they can be further recognized. To ensure that your compliments reach every cast member, be sure to include their first name and hometown as it appears on their nametag – or just ask them where they are from. It’s the perfect way to start a conversation and thank them in person, too.

Ensure Cast Members receive their recognition by inputting their first name and hometown exactly as it appears on their nametag

Whether shared through the mobile cast compliment feature, through emails and letters sharing stories and magical moments, or online with #CastCompliment, we love hearing about all of your positive interactions.

The 100,000th mobile compliment is a major milestone, but we know it is truly just the beginning. Keep sharing your positive compliments with our cast. We surely love celebrating them!

  • Now can we please get this for the Disneyland app, too?
