In my role, I often have the opportunity to connect members of our community with some of the trailblazing women behind the magic here at Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, we recently welcomed more than 30 students from PACE Center for Girls to Celebrate HER Story at Disney Springs with cast members in honor of Women’s History Month.

We’ve worked with PACE Center for Girls for many years, supporting its mission in shaping the futures of young girls through education, counseling, training and advocacy. What better organization to celebrate this special heritage month with?
Whether engaging in thoughtful career conversations and mentoring sessions or enjoying a showing of Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney, it was a night to remember for everyone.

“It was incredibly fulfilling to get to know these young women and learn about their career aspirations and dreams as we enjoyed this experience together,” said Ali Manion, Walt Disney World Ambassador. “Their spirit and strength truly left me inspired, and I know my fellow cast members feel it did the same for them. I look forward to seeing how far they’ll go!”
Our cast members are so passionate and are always looking for ways to support our future storytellers – whether donating their time with PACE Center for Girls, volunteering at one of the six nonprofits that recently received a $500,000 grant in honor of The World’s Most Magical Celebration, or signing up for one of the dozens of other Disney VoluntEARS events available each month at organizations across Central Florida.

I’m honored to work alongside each and every one of them, and I look forward to celebrating the successes of my fellow female colleagues not only for the month, but year-round.
