Yah-hoo, the doors of Pioneer Hall officially reopened this week to welcome everyone back to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground! Our Pioneer Hall Players have returned to the stage and are better than ever in this zany, fan-favorite dinner show, complete with a full country feast. But before the curtains rose on opening night for our guests, the show premiered first to an exclusive audience of VIPs – our cast members!

Over 100 Disney cast members and their guests were among the first to experience the updated show and the delicious all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ feast through Magic Backstage, a sweepstakes program just for our cast. I got to be in the room to see this Disney Cast Life premiere, and let me tell you, the energy was incredible! Hoop-Dee-Doo has been around since 1974, and you can really tell how much joy it brings to generations of cast members and guests alike.

“Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is my favorite thing to do at Walt Disney World,” explains Be Our Guest cast member Allie Tomaini. “I went all the time with my family growing up. Seeing Pioneer Hall open again is amazing, and the energy of a room entirely of cast members is absolutely electric.”

Our cast audience had a rootin’-tootin’ good time, and the Pioneer Hall Players and food and beverage cast made the whole experience feel like home (special shoutout to our culinary cast members for the incredible food)! Between clapping, singing and stomping, cast matched every hoot and holler tenfold and had a galloping-good time one can only find at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue – which just so happens to be one of the longest-running dinner shows in American history!

Sharing Hoop-Dee-Doo with our cast is one of the most gratifying experiences I’ve had,” said Tom Vazzana, Creative Director of Disney Live Entertainment. “There’s something beautiful about welcoming our performers, servers and audio techs back to their home. It’s so fulfilling to watch everyone thrive in a supportive environment.”
