Celebrating Disability Pride Month at Disney Parks

This July, we celebrate Disability Pride Month by honoring the diversity and intersectionality of our cast members and guests with disabilities.

Though we are reflecting on the contributions of our cast members and guests with disabilities this month, it is the work we do each day to provide ways for all our guests to have the access to choose their next adventure, immersing themselves in our shows, attractions and even products, that truly makes a difference.

For example, I recently came across the @DisneyParks TikTok video below and instantly felt the passion that the sign language interpreters at Beauty & the Beast Live on Stage show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida have for bringing the show to life for our guests with hearing disabilities. And the same rings true at shows in our parks around the world!

It is these types of captured moments and stories that are at the heart of what we do at Disney – creating memories that leave our guests with a rich experience that connects them to themselves, their experience as well as our timeless stories and magic.

This Disability Pride month we look forward to sharing more about our mission for inclusivity at our parks and in our experiences and products – and how we work together to create a place where our guests and cast members feel included, seen and celebrated.

Check back this month as we continue to celebrate and recognize Disability Pride Month on the Disney Parks Blog.
