It’s Dole Whip Day! And to celebrate, the panelists at planDisney have whipped up some tips, recommendations, and fun facts about the beloved Disney snack … the DOLE® Whip.
Let’s start at the beginning…where can one purchase this treat? The infamous DOLE Whip can be found at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and even aboard Disney Cruise Line, but that’s not all! “As a Disney Vacation Club Member who loves Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort, we were thrilled when we first visited and found out that DOLE Whip is available at this Disney Beach Resort in South Carolina! My whole family delighted in eating our frozen pineapple treats from Tide Me Over (the Quick-Service window) by the pool,” shares panelist Lauren B. DOLE Whip can also be found at Wind & Waves Market at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.
And speaking of beaches, “You can also enjoy a classic pineapple, vanilla, or swirl DOLE Whip near the pool at Aulani! Simply visit the Ulu Cafe for this tasty treat! DOLE Whip in Hawaii is definitely my FAVORITE DOLE Whip!” says Panelist Tracy V. “While they always offer the pineapple flavor, they do also offer seasonal flavors.” says Panelist Kate M.
Not only can you find DOLE Whip at many Disney destinations, they also come in many flavors and varieties. Panelist Tiffanie S. shares her favorite, “My absolute favorite DOLE Whip creation comes from The Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland Park. The DOLE Whip Raspberry-Lemon Float is a coconut-rimmed cup filled with a refreshing blend of Passionfruit-Orange-Guava Juice and topped with a swirl of DOLE Whip Raspberry and Lemon, fresh strawberries and mangoes, plus dried kiwi, and hibiscus. Not only is it Instagram worthy, but it’s also amazingly delicious too!”
Betsy S. confesses, “I don’t care for pineapple, so I never thought DOLE Whip would be part of my world. Pineapple Lanai, located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, offers other flavors, like lime (my favorite), and there’s nothing quite as refreshing as enjoying DOLE Whip while relaxing poolside.”
Panelist Veronica O. prefers the classic, with a little twist, “The classic DOLE Whip is a favorite for so many, but may I introduce you to its cousin, the Pineapple Float? It’s everything you love about the classic but served with DOLE pineapple juice. Just look at the menu at Aloha Isle at the Magic Kingdom Park and you will see it in the snack category. It’s my favorite because it’s always super refreshing!”
At Swirls on the Water at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort, the planDisney Panelists recommend trying the DOLE Whip Nachos or the DOLE Whip Float featuring Rosa Regale Sparkling Red and Strawberry for the adults. Can’t make up your mind? This location also offers flights, so you can choose three to try!
But what about WHERE to enjoy them!?!? “For an iconic Walt Disney World experience, stop by Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom Park for a DOLE Whip, and then enjoy it while watching the birds sing words in Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. Many guests don’t realize this is absolutely allowed, and you’ll get to enjoy the Tiki Room the way Walt Disney originally dreamed it – dinner and a show!” shares planDisney alumni Robyn M.
When Panelist Andres V. goes to Disneyland Resort he has to make a stop at Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at the Disneyland Hotel. “I usually have a classic DOLE Whip in one hand and a Polynesian cocktail in the other, prepared by one of the amazing Skippers there.”
Panelist Jane D. likes to wear her love of DOLE Whip on her sleeve, literally. “DOLE Whip is so beloved that guests can buy DOLE Whip inspired merchandise! From tee shirts, to hats and handbags there’s something for everyone to show their love of this pineapple-flavored frosty treat.”
No matter how you like to DOLE Whip, your first DOLE Whip is a memorable one! “I will also admit that a DOLE Whip may have been my daughter’s first solid food. They are still her favorite treat!” shares Panelist Sarah B.”
