A blue sea of subscribers and fans at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California were among the first to enter the parks to kick-off the celebration — entering 30 minutes before regular opening and, at select theme parks, enjoying Disney+ blue ears, buttons and balloons.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios was at the center of Walt Disney World Resort’s Disney+ Day celebration, featuring popular character greetings, including appearances from Blog reader favorites like Chip ‘n’ Dale, and Goofy and Max. And to capture the memories, Disney+ subscribers received complimentary Disney PhotoPass photo downloads at select locations.
The day also included a Disney+ Day Stars in Cars Cavalcade down Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and other memorable moments around the park.
At Disneyland Resort, Disney+ subscribers and fans also enjoyed character greetings with Mirabel, Lightning McQueen, Mater, Ms. Marvel, Groot and others, plus unique photo opportunities with favorites like Pinocchio, Piston Cup, and more.
Popular Disney+ Day-themed treats at Disneyland Resort included beautiful blue-dusted churros as well as true-blue cocktails: an Ocean Breeze at Naples Ristorante E Bar, Blue Hawaiian at Uva Bar & Cafe, and a Tropical Margarita at Tortilla Jo’s. Disney+ Day also featured creative balloon displays and chalk art for the occasion at Downtown Disney District.
At Disneyland Paris, it was all blue as well with Disney+ Day entertainment and a spectacular “Disney Streams…Blue!” nighttime finale that, of course, blanketed Sleeping Beauty Castle in blue.
Along with entertainment, Disney+ subscribers and fans at Disneyland Paris enjoyed photo opportunities with Disney PhotoPass as well as themed treats.
