Jambo! On this month’s planDisney podcast we are coming to you from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and our topic is Good Neighbor month. Get ready to learn how Disney Parks are truly making a difference in their “neighborhoods.” From Shanghai to California, and from solar energy to food conservation, we have got a great deal to chat about with our host Amiyrah Martin and panelists Ariane, Carrie, and Nick.

Disney Parks are known for bringing joy into guests’ lives every day, but at the same time they are also making sure they are taking care of, and giving back, to our great big, beautiful world. The panelists discuss a few of these efforts including annual beach clean ups at Disney’s Hilton Head Resort, Rainbow Reef at Aulani and water conservation technology at Disneyland Resort. Want to know what Disneyland does with its melted ice? You will have to take a listen to learn about that and many more amazing efforts. Also, we will chat about some of the ways guests can learn more about wildlife at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Amiyrah also visits with guests John Thomton a keeper at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Erica Edmonston an aquarist at The Seas in EPCOT. Two amazing jobs described with a lot of fun facts, and all wrapped up in one fascinating interview. Let’s take a listen!

You can listen to new episodes of the planDisney podcast every third Wednesday of the month on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotify or wherever you get your podcasts. You can also join the panelists on location and watch it on the Disney Parks YouTube channel.

In October be sure to join us as we chat all things technology. Want to learn more about Genie+, Mobile Ordering and other technology features on Disney apps? No problem, we will have all that information and much more! In the meantime, if you’re looking for more Disney travel tips, follow planDisney on Instagram and Twitter, or ask your planning questions at planDisney.com.
