Planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and wondering what Memory Maker is all about? The planDisney panelists are here to share their top tips and suggestions for making the most out of this magical photo offering.

Let’s begin with what Memory Maker is. Memory Maker is offered by Disney PhotoPass Service at Walt Disney World Resort. Ask a panelist and they will tell you it is the perfect option for capturing all those special Disney vacation photos and being able to easily download them!

What’s included with a Memory Maker purchase?

With Memory Maker, you can download all photos and videos captured by Disney PhotoPass Service during your vacation at more than 100 Walt Disney World Resort locations. There are so many locations to choose from, but here are a few of our favorites:

  • Iconic spots throughout the theme parks – such as on Main Street, U.S.A.; around World Showcase; in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge; or by the Tree of Life
  • Any of the three Disney PhotoPass Studios, which are located at Disney Springs, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Magic Kingdom Park
  • Anywhere Disney PhotoPass photographers offer Magic Shots: Currently, there are more than 70 Classic Magic Shots, 4 Super Zoom Magic Shots, and 3 Tiny World Magic Shots
  • Select character greetings
  • Photos captured onboard 14 attractions, and videos onboard 2 attractions. Note: A MagicBand or an eligible mobile device with Bluetooth technology enabled for the My Disney Experience app is required to receive certain attraction photos.

planDisney Tip: At select locations in each theme park, you will also have the ability to take Super Zoom Magic Shots. This will give you a zoomed-in and out video of the location you are in at each park to get the zoomed-out shot with the full background and back to your zoomed-in group. It’s a super fun way to get some amazing pictures in a unique way!

Another great advantage of purchasing Memory Maker is you can download as many photos as you want … and we all know how many photos we take on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Compare the costs of Memory Maker to purchasing individual images, and we think you will agree it’s an offering that will actually save you money on photos! And saved money means more in the budget for DOLE Whips!

With Memory Maker, you can even download the photos from up to 25 members on your Family & Friends list. And if you’re a planner, you can purchase Memory Maker – Advance Purchase at least three days in advance of activation and save some pennies. ~ Mike

When purchasing Memory Maker, you don’t have to worry about downloading your photos on vacation. Disney PhotoPass photos and videos expire 45 days from the date each photo was taken. No worries if you are as excited as Daisy Duck about a new photo, you can also download them individually during your vacation. Watch that expiration date, and don’t forget about the Disney PhotoPass Archive USB.

planDisney Tip: Be sure to check out Memory Maker One Day. This offering allows guests to download all their Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from one day of their choosing! From rope drop to the goodnight kiss, you will be able to download every image, as your Memory Maker One Day “entitlement window” begins at 6 a.m. and ends at 5:59 a.m. the following day!
