Happy New Year! We’re just over a week into 2023 and already we’re so excited about all that’s to come to Disneyland Resort – and incredibly proud of the experiences you’ll get to enjoy here this year. We’re grateful for everyone who plans to visit us, whether it’s to celebrate Lunar New Year from January 20 to February 15, or Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival from March 3 to April 25, to introduce your family to the reimagined Mickey’s Toontown when it opens March 8, sing and dance along to the “Magic Happens” parade upon its highly anticipated return starting February 24, or enjoy the Disney100 celebration at the Disneyland Resort when it launches January 27 with special offerings all year long.

Switch between parks even earlier with your Park Hopper ticket, beginning at 11 a.m. PT starting February 4
Beginning February 4, 2023, guests who enter a Disneyland Resort theme park with a Magic Key pass or a Park Hopper ticket may begin crossing over between the parks two hours earlier – starting at 11 a.m. PT!* This means even more magic and more fun for your day as you enjoy the best of what both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park have to offer.
Even more opportunities to visit with a $104 park ticket
Ready, set, book! We’re happy to share that the Disneyland Resort reservation calendar will offer nearly two months worth of $104 park ticket dates throughout 2023, which means additional opportunities to enjoy our lowest one-day, one-park ticket price while creating moments destined to become memories.** And with so many exciting new offerings from the two new nighttime spectaculars –”Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland park and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure park – to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, all opening January 27, plus returning favorite festivals, classic attractions, delicious food and beverage offerings and so much more, 2023 is a fantastic time to visit the Disneyland Resort!

So many of us have treasured memories captured in the form of attraction photos – whether it’s huge screams on your first Space Mountain ride or victorious smiles crossing the finish line on Radiator Springs Racers, these are some of the best moments to take home from your visit. As a “thank-you” to our incredible Disneyland Resort guests, we’re excited to make Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads captured on any Disney PhotoPass available attraction during a park visit, complimentary for all ticketed park guests on the Disneyland app starting February 4, throughout the Disney100 celebration at the Disneyland Resort.***
More opportunities to join the Magic Key program
We’ve been thrilled to see the incredible ongoing demand for our Magic Key program, which provides reservation-based admission to one or both Disneyland Resort theme parks throughout the year – not to mention the chance to unlock the magic visit after visit! Disneyland Resort will make select Magic Key passes available for new sales from time to time throughout 2023 as pass inventory becomes available. My family members who have been coming to WDW since the opening for many years! We are Grandparents, Parents, Children & Grandchildren & 1st time Great Grandchildren, had planned 2 years ago January 2021 to come to WDW October 2022 for 50th Most Magical Celebration! This was not Magical at all! So disappointed! We came also for Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party! The changes that were introduced to Park admissions/Reservations & Hopper Passes, Dining Reservations, No Magical Express bus, the most disappointing was the Genie + pass, that the prices went up while we were trying to book! Also we stayed @ Beach Club Resort, we were there years ago, very disappointed! Disney was not a Magical Experience! Carol
I agree with everyone who point out that trams still aren’t running at Epcot. I live in FL and once tried to get into Epcot after 2:00. Parking was full to the very outskirts of the lot, with a line of cars waiting to get in. I (and a lot of others) just turned around and left. I doubt I will ever try to get in past 2:00 p.m. again, so the relaxed reservation system coming is of little comfort, not to mention that incredibly long walk to get into the park, then back out to your car at the end of 7 hours of walking the parks (assuming you stay until closing). I’m also on “Team FP”. Charging people to ride the rides is obnoxious in and of itself…worse because of the overall cost of a trip to WDW. Bring back FP…it worked before the pandemic…it will work now. Lightning Lane causes the Standby lanes to be so long they’re a deterrent to being able to enjoy the newer rides (I’m looking at you, Ratatouille….2+ hours….indeed!)
I was marginally pleased to read that Annual Passholders will soon be allowed to enter the parks after 2:00 p.m. without reservation (more on that in my next post) but what little joy that provided was doused like a cold bucket of water when I read that those who purchase Park Hopper tickets will soon be allowed to park hop at 11:00 a.m. I struggle to understand the distinction between an Annual Passholder and those who purchase tickets. Not only have we all (APs and ticket buyers) paid for these tickets but WDW has had the benefit of having had Passholders’ cash up front…not always the case with ticket sales…and have undoubtedly made money on our purchase through the investment of this up-front capital. Seems to me that APs should get this perk, not someone who purchased a last minute ticket at the door. In truth, I think WDW should abolish that Park Hopper caveat altogether. It has never made sense to me. Anyone who goes to the parks will spend several hours in it before going to another one so I see little difference between an 11:00 a.m. and a 2:00 p.m. re-entry.
Having to buy tickets for specific dates seriously limits flexibility while on vacation. Please get rid of park reservations and different prices on different days. The changes over the last couple of years have taken away so much spontaneity and magic.
Get rid of all restrictions on park hopping. Please. I’m not becoming a key holder again until that and the reservation system are gone.
Anyway these offerings will start on February 1st instead of the 4th? Or it seems that I will just miss these benefits.
Any news about making a dedicated entrance line for Magic Key holders???
Why can’t they just get rid of the reservation system. We’d be far more likely to purchase magic keys again if we didn’t have to do the reservation system. The over booking takes the magic and fun away.
This is very exciting news, but I wish there was additional discounts for those who live in the neighboring states. I’m still going to travel there but it would be nice to get a little discount. Those who come there from further away are obviously going to spend more money there while staying in Anaheim
I’m so sad this won’t occur sooner- it’s such a tease to see this future items just after we depart to come back home! It’s a little tease for that little hit of extra value!
