The 2023 Class of the Disney Dreamers Academy was announced today in a huge way.

Today, one of the 100 students selected for this year’s class got a magical surprise. In front of the entire student body at her New Jersey school, Mosope Aina, learned of her selection live on national TV. ABC’s Good Morning America segment featured Mickey Mouse, Disney executives and Grammy Award-winning singer Kelly Rowland. Then, Mosope and the other 99 Disney Dreamer names were displayed on a billboard in Times Square. That’s some BIG news in the Big Apple!

The students, along with a parent or guardian, will embark on an all-expense paid trip to Walt Disney World Resort, March 23-26, for the 16th annual event, aimed at broadening career awareness and creating exclusive opportunities for Black students and teens from underrepresented communities across America.

They will have the amazing opportunity to participate in immersive career workshops, networking sessions and mentorship events led by celebrities, Disney cast members and industry leaders to help the students reach their dreams.

Disney Dreamers Academy is an important part of our commitment to supporting diverse communities by encouraging the next generation to DREAM BIG and carry what they learn during the program with them so they can relentlessly pursue their dreams and make a difference in the lives of others.

Since 2008, Disney Dreamers Academy has inspired more than 1,500 students from across the country by fueling their dreams and showing them a world of possibilities as they prepare for their futures. In the years following, graduates have become storytellers, artists, engineers, innovators, journalists and more, and have transitioned into mentors to the Disney Dreamers who follow them.

We are so excited to welcome these 100 students to Walt Disney World and we can’t wait to see the trails that they will blaze with the tools and insights they gain from this amazing, life-changing program.
