A brain-teasing #DisneyCastLife tradition continued earlier this month at Disneyland Resort, as cast members and employees from across the west coast tangled up in the late-night hours for Minnie’s Moonlit Madness!
This after-hours event at Disney California Adventure park tethers team members together to solve trivia, decipher clues, and complete tasks and puzzles to collect points and earn bragging rights. Proceeds from the event supported the MUZEO Museum and Cultural Center in Anaheim.
While some teams were participating for the first time, others join the fun every year.
“My favorite part of Minnie’s Moonlit Madness is the camaraderie,” said Ali Garay (pictured above, center), Experience and Integration, who led the winning team in the Detective Division (one of three competitive levels). She said her team prepares for the annual event by reading, searching online and recalling events from their time as cast members. “This year, I’ve had the opportunity to bring my son, Alex, into our team, and it’s fun to share this tradition with my family now.”
Drew Hayashida (pictured above, right), senior tour specialist at The Walt Disney Studios, participated in the original Minnie’s Moonlit Madness in 1989, and continues to “love how we challenge ourselves as much as we are challenged by the questions and activities.”
