Springtime is here and with it brings seasonal fun across our Disney Parks. At Disney California Adventure park, celebrate the Food and Wine Festival and eat your way across the resort. Or sip, savor and stroll through Walt Disney World’s EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. Today, we are shining a spotlight on Shanghai Disney Resort’s floral experiences!
The resort shines this spring with flowers galore and floral-themed offerings in décor, food and merchandise. Nature-loving guests have so much to look forward to and we’re here to share more details. Read on for five fantastic ways to celebrate springtime at the resort!
1. Detailed Décor
Guests can prepare to be enchanted not only by the beautiful topiaries, but also the secret behind their creation. Planning starts early as the seedlings used in these topiaries are found half a year in advance! Seedlings are then carefully guided to grow in the shapes of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Pluto, Goofy, Duffy and LinaBell.
2. Seed Stories
Did you know that flowers are carefully chosen for specific areas of the park? See if you can spot some of these on your next visit! Follow the path to Evergreen Playhouse in Fantasyland and you’ll see that it is lined with Serissa japonicas, or “snow roses,” that give the illusion of snow as you approach the “Frozen: A Sing-Along Celebration.” You can also stroll through the Gardens of Imagination, which are filled with giant lupines that are shaped like castle spires to pay homage to the Enchanted Storybook Castle.
