Oh boy! The time has finally come to welcome back Disneyland Resort cast members and guests alike to the reimagined Mickey’s Toontown on March 19. This week, cast members had the “opporTOONity” to be among the first to visit Mickey Mouse and the gang in the land they call home, which closed for its transformation a year ago.

“To experience Mickey’s Toontown before it opens is one of those surreal experiences we get as cast members; you don’t get to do this unless you’re part of the magic,” said Aaron Wilson, attractions host.

While cast members from across the resort took their first spin on the reimagined Chip ‘N’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster and sampled new favorites from Café Daisy, the opening team of Mickey’s Toontown celebrated months of training and preparation in anticipation of opening day. And “toon” puns were everywhere.

“It’s exciting to see everything come back to life. Everything is reTOONed and reimagined to be in tip-top-TOON shape,” said Selina Gomez, attractions hostess.

“I hope that the families that come visit Toontown are able to enjoy the land and really play with us in their own way,” said Sam O’Neil, attractions host. “One of the great features of the land is that there are a number of ways for everyone to play.”

See ya real TOON!
