Gather your thingamabobs and grab some popcorn, because “The Little Mermaid” live-action motion picture is making a splash in theaters May 26, 2023! At the same time it debuts on land, it will also premiere on the high seas on every ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. In celebration of the film’s release, I’m excited to share that we’re giving four lucky winners the opportunity to sail on the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Wish!

“Blue Carpet” Movie Premiere
We’ll be rolling out a “blue carpet,” reminiscent of the ocean waves, for the premiere of “The Little Mermaid” live-action remake at sea. The much-anticipated movie features Halle Bailey as the adventurous Ariel and Jonah Hauer-King as the dashing Prince Eric. After striking a pose, you’ll make your way into one of the two boutique movie theaters on the Disney Wish. With an intimate environment and immersive Dolby Atmos 3D audio, you’ll truly feel part of Ariel’s world.
Broadway-style Spectacular
In the Walt Disney Theatre, we’re taking live-action to a whole new level with a spectacular Broadway-style performance. “Disney The Little Mermaid” is an original stage adaptation of the renowned 1989 Disney Animation film, developed exclusively for the Disney Wish. During this one-of-a-kind theatrical production, you’ll rediscover the iconic scenes, acclaimed music and lovable characters while experiencing the story like never before. Discover new and classic songs alike from your favorite fantastical sea creatures, told through stellar performances and cutting-edge puppetry.
Under the Sea Fun
Just like all sailings on the Disney Wish, your cruise will make a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island oasis in the Bahamas. There, you can rest, relax or participate in adventurous water activities such as snorkeling. You might even stumble upon underwater remnants of Ariel’s grotto!
Other highlights of the Disney Wish include themed, immersive dining for the entire family, fun on the upper decks with the AquaMouse, Disney’s first attraction at sea, spaces and activities for everyone in the family, character encounters and even Disney’s signature fireworks at sea. There will be four grand prizes, which will include a cruise for the winner plus three guests on the May 22, 2023 Disney Wish sailing from Port Canaveral.
