I’m Chef Daniel “Duke” Brown, and I am a member of the We Wai Kai Band of the Laich Kwil Tach people, First Nations of Canada.
We Wai Kai people embrace our language and culture to build a proud, healthy, safe and self-sufficient community. We support and encourage each other to thrive by following in the footsteps of our ancestral history as stewards of our lands and waters while balancing our role in modern-day society.
I have over 25 years of culinary experience ranging from bussing tables to working alongside Michelin star chefs. I love what I do, and I feel very lucky to celebrate both my Korean and Native heritage through my role as a chef at Disney’s California Adventure. I’m proud to be an active member of the NAATV BERG and an alumni of the Aspire Program at Disney.
