Having grown up in the 2000s, Disney Channel was a staple of my childhood. There was always so much excitement and anticipation—sprinting into the living room after school and gathering together with friends to catch the latest episodes of all our favorite shows. This is the same excitement and wonder that inspired me, nearly a decade later, to apply for a Communications Internship at The Walt Disney Company.
In college, I grew very interested in the intersection of communication, rhetoric, and the arts. I believe there is great power in media, be it a television show, a film, a painting, a song, or a blog post, to positively influence and unite our communities. I feel privileged to be here now, living out my childhood dream of working at this magical place and knowing that I can create that happiness for others.
