Getting Started with MagicBand+

Set up your MagicBand+ in just 4 easy steps!

Step 1: Tap MagicBand+ to Your Device

Unbox your MagicBand+ and power it on by holding down and releasing the button on the back once. Then, tap the band to your phone.

Step 2: Open or Download the Appropriate Disney Parks App

Your device will automatically direct you to the appropriate Disney Parks app or download link.

Step 3: Link MagicBand+ to Your Disney Account

Follow the instructions in the app to link the MagicBand+ to your Disney account, assign it to a Guest and pair it to your mobile device.

  • Disney may be able to infer your location when you carry your MagicBand+ at Disney parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney vacation experiences. If you’re linking a MagicBand+ on behalf of another Guest, ensure you have the necessary consent to do so. Read answers to frequently asked questions about Guest privacy at Walt Disney World Resort.
  • Use the app to make sure your MagicBand+ is charged, and the software is up to date.
  • For the best experience, fully charge your MagicBand+ prior to use, then each night of your trip—and every 4 to 6 months between visits.

Step 4: All Linked Up?

Make sure to link your tickets, reservations or other entitlements to your MyDisney account via the app.

Going on a Disney cruise vacation? If you linked a band in the My Disney Experience app for use at Walt Disney World Resort, you can wear your band on embarkation day.
