Guests Can Now Meet Tinker Bell’s Sister, Periwinkle, at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom Parks

Tinker Bell’s newly discovered sister, Periwinkle, is the newest fairy friend to meet guests at Disney Parks. Introduced in the upcoming film “Secret of the Wings,” the “frost fairy” Periwinkle is intrigued by the other seasons once she meets a warm fairy (her sis Tinker Bell), and she becomes eager to make new friends beyond the Winter Woods.

The newest Disney Fairies movie, “Secret of the Wings,” comes to Blu-ray and DVD October 23.

Scheduled for appearances during the fall and winter months, Periwinkle joins Tinker Bell at Pixie Hollow at Disneyland park and inside Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook at Magic Kingdom Park. (Be sure to check the Times Guide when you visit for the current schedule.)

And while you’re visiting their magical home, be on the lookout — when Tinker Bell and Periwinkle get close to each other, their fairy wings illuminate in magical fashion.

  • Does the Times Guide you mentioned specify which fairies will be there that day? Also where can I find this Times Guide when I get to the park?

  • This is so exciting! Periwinkle is flitterrific; I’m already a fan! But will she not be in the parks during spring and summer?

  • I was able to meet them at Magic Kingdom two weeks ago. They were taking pictures separately but since the line was short they would pose together if requested.

  • do you know if they are going to be doing a passholder preview of the new movie like they have done in the past.

  • Eric from MA – if you have seen the preview to the new movie this news is no surprise as this is seen in the preview :>

i am not a huge Tinkerbell fan like others are but i do love all the Disney characters and this will be a great addition to all the other meet-n-greets around the parks. i love when Disney trys to accomodate all the guests with the new as well as the old. see you in WDW in Jan 2013 for marathon weekend!!

  • Joi – She’s already meeting at Pixie Hollow at Disneyland. She arrived a couple of weeks ago and, while she brought some snow, unfortunately, did not bring cooler weather. LOL! 🙂

  • Does this mean we will be able to get pictures with Tink and Peri in the same shot together? I’d love to be able to capture their glowing wings in a photo!

    • Nicole, it depends on what Tink and Peri are up to in the forests at the time you visit, but the pair will appear together when they can. After all, as long-lost sisters, they have a lot of catching up to do! Also, from time-to-time their other Fairy friends will greet guests when Tink or Peri are out on other adventures.

  • What date should we start checking to see if see is in Pixie Hollow at Disneyland?

    • Hi Joi, as Loren mentions below, Tink and Peri are already appearing at the Disney Parks and spreading pixie dust to everyone who meets them!

  • “When Tinker Bell and Periwinkle get close to each other, their fairy wings illuminate in magical fashion.”
Aha, so THAT’S the “Secret of the wings”…The movie’s not for another month, and you’ve just given it away! 😉
