I spoke to a cast member this morning who said that the mixology and culinary demo information was posted today. Where would I go to find this? I want to plan my meals around the demos.
What is the date for the DVC advance purchase for F&W events??
Is there any more information on these events like a more detailed description of each, and the time of day?
I can’t wait to be back this year during runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend! I have not been since I was there for Race for the Taste in 2009! That year it was way too hot (heat indexes into the 100s.) The heat put a damper on the appetite. November should be lovely. I’m looking forward to the festival playing host to all of the runners.

We celebrated my husband’s 50th last year at our first ever F&W. I can’t wait to go again. We did it in style with a dozen spectacular events. It cost a lot of pennies and was worth every one of them. I highly recommend the Tequila tasting luncheon, the culinary demos are great. Omgosh just everything!!! W aren’t slated to go again until 2015, but I honestly doubt I can hold out that long. Add on the Halloween party and it just doesn’t get any better.
If you do a meal event, be sure to sit close to the event MC/speaker. In two different events last year, we wound up on the outer edge and couldn’t hear because of background noise from vent fans or other restaurant patrons. Otherwise, I can heartily recommend these as a fun adventure.
I can’t wait! Absolutely my favorite time of year to visit. I understand there is a tremendous amount of effort & coordination that has to occur so all event details are in order prior to releasing more info. I do hope, however, that details will be released early enough in August (personally, I’d prefer July – haha) so that we have more than a few days to review and make plans prior to calling on the 13th. Thanks! Really looking forward to the festival!
I did this for the first time last Sept and loved it. I would recommend anyone to go to this event.
