‘Glow With the Show’ Ears Coming to Walt Disney World Resort This Fall

We’re excited to announce today that the interactive, color-changing “Glow with the Show” Ears introduced at Disneyland Resort last summer are coming to the Walt Disney World Resort – beginning on October 15.

‘Glow With the Show’ Ears Coming to Walt Disney World Resort This Fall

The magical Mickey Ear Hats will make their debut with Fantasmic! on October 15, a date that also happens to mark the 15th anniversary of the nighttime spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Also, beginning on October 19, “Glow with the Show” Ears will become part of “Wishes” fireworks and the “Celebrate the Magic” nighttime projection show at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park. And during the holiday season, be sure to wear your Ears for special surprises during The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights and performances of “Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season.”

As Erin has shared with Disney Parks Blog readers, “Glow with the Show” Ear Hats employ leading edge technology to light up and synchronize with each entertainment experience in amazing and dazzling new ways, making members of the audience an integral part of the show.

  • I saw someone wearing a pair with 2014 on the ears but I could only find plain ears. Where can I buy the 2014 ears please?

  • I cannot wait!!! There are so many opportunities for a great crowd experience here in Florida, like with the Osborne lights. If everyone is not wearing one I may have to buy a bunch and hand em out!

  • Is there any store in Disneyland that I can purchase these from for our trip the beginning of Oct to Disney World? I’d love to add these to my surprise box for my girls attending the Halloween Party; whether they’ll be in sync with any show or not. Just the fact that they light up is perfect!!

  • I’m excited for this change & can’t wait!!!! While I haven’t seen them at Disneyland and have heard some folks say the flashing lights are distracting, I think it’s cool that WDW is also getting them. The coordinated lights from the ears can’t be any more distracting than all the unmatched lighted toys, cell phones & tablets seen currently at all the evening shows. I ready to purchase my glowing ears today!!!!

  • @Erick Nilson – Fantasmic! and Wishes are included with your park admission. Fantasmic! takes place in an amphitheater located inside Hollywood Studios park. I suggest lining up early to get good seats for the show. Wishes is the fireworks show that is over Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom. Celebrate the Magic is a show that is of images projected onto Cinderella’s castle inside Magic Kingdom. All three of these shows occur almost daily. From reading the blog post it seems the glow with the show ears will be in use at the shows from their respective debut date onward. (meaning every show after the date listed in the original blog post)

We just finish our scheduled and read the announcement of “Glow With the Show’ Ears”. If it´s possible, can you tell us exactly what days and wich parks they will be? how much cost the hat and if we have to buy specials tickets to go to show? thank you in advance! Erick

  • I am so excited about this news! We recently went to Disneyland and purchased our Glow with the Show ear hats there. In Disneyland they were $25 each. Glow with the Show is an amazing experience and I can’t wait to reuse my ears in December at Walt Disney World. I love extra magic.
