Disney MaxPass is now available at the Disneyland Resort! You probably already know that this new digital tool helps you maximize your day’s experience with unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads and the convenience of mobile Disney FASTPASS through the Disneyland App. But did you also know …

  1. Guests who have tried it … love it! Check out these videos from popular YouTubers MrCheesyPop and Thingamavlogs to hear what they have to say about using Disney MaxPass.
  2. If you did not purchase theme park admission through the Disneyland App, it’s easy to add Disney MaxPass to your park ticket. You can purchase Disney MaxPass in the Disneyland App and connect it to your ticket by scanning the barcode on the back.
  3. Disney MaxPass includes unlimited Photopass downloads for the day! This includes magic shots, attraction photos and select Character dining photos.
  4. You can make your next Disney FASTPASS reservation even quicker with Disney MaxPass! As soon as your mobile Disney FASTPASS barcode has been scanned at an attraction, you can immediately reserve another attraction.
  5. Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders have the option of purchasing Disney MaxPass for the life of their current passport for $75. Signature Plus passholders will receive Disney MaxPass at no additional cost, as part of their annual passport entitlement.

Try Disney MaxPass on your next visit to the Disneyland Resort!

Guests are strongly advised to check the day’s FASTPASS ticket availability and other Park details before purchasing Disney MaxPass or using a Park ticket with Disney MaxPass as FASTPASS tickets for your preferred attractions may not be available at the time of purchase or use. FASTPASS tickets are limited and availability is not guaranteed. FASTPASS tickets may be obtained only while you are in the Parks and may not be available for entertainment through Disney MaxPass. An experience that does not have Disney FASTPASS availability at a kiosk will not be available using Disney MaxPass. Disney MaxPass is nonrefundable, nontransferable, may not be redeemed for cash and is subject to other restrictions. Price, terms, entitlements, attractions and entertainment are subject to change or cancellation without notice. Passholders who purchase the Disney MaxPass benefit may not use the value of any separate ticket media toward the purchase price of Disney MaxPass.

Disney PhotoPass service is subject to the PhotoPass terms found in https://disneyland.disney.go.com/photopass-terms-conditions/. Online registration required. Disney PhotoPass Photos captured during the day your Disney MaxPass is used or during the validity dates of your Passport, as applicable, must be linked to your Disney account and may be downloaded pursuant to the expiration policy at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/photopass-expiration-policy/. • All pretty confusing from last yr and every yr prior. 5Th gen NorCal Native. Thankfully I am taking a cpl mos to familiarize myself w the MaxPass system. I REALLY hope DLR has upped their Wifi game! !!!

  • Me and my boyfriend get complimentary tickets from a family member. Will we still be able to get the $10 maxpass?

  • Does each person in your party need to purchase the MaxPass for either $10 a day or $75 for the year? For example, my husband’s Deluxe Passport is linked to mine – so does that mean if I spend the $75 on MaxPass for the year I’ll be able to get us both Fast Passes using the app? Or does he need to buy it as well? For $20 a piece each day, or $150 a year that is STEEP – but I’m interested in trying it if only one of us has to buy it. Thanks for the clarification!

  • So, if you don’t own a smartphone, you cannot take advantage of the Max Pass, is that correct?

  • If you already have a Signature Plus AP, will MaxPass be automatically added to the current AP? Or do we have to wait until we renew our current Annual Passes?

  • When will the wifi be improved? 9 times out of 10 I could not get a connection. WDW manages to provide great reception throughout all their facilities. Why not do whatever they did to provide this to guests, especially since many are paying to use Maxpass.

  • Aside from the PhotoPass being included in Maxplus how else is it different from Disneyworld’s Fastpass plus?

  • A few answers to posted questions:

    * Yes, you get all PhotoPass pictures with MaxPass. Just show the photographer either your admission ticket that has MaxPass on it OR the PhotoPass barcode shown in the Disneyland App under PhotoPass.

    * To clarify on when you can make your next FastPass…

    – If you redeem your current FastPass, you can make another FP reservation immediately. If you have MaxPass, this means you could do this in line as soon as you use your FastPass.

    – With MaxPass, if your current FastPass return time is more than 2 hours from when it was made, you will be able to reserve a second FP 90 minutes after making that reservation. If using the physical FastPass method, the wait is 2 hours.

    – You must wait a minimum of 30 minutes between making one FastPass reservation and the next, UNLESS you redeem that FP first. For example, if you make a FP at 10am and the return time is 10:05am and 11:05am, you will need to either wait 30 minutes to make your next one OR redeem the FP first. This is to prevent people from holding several “immediate” FPs at one time.

Fortunately, both the reminder tickets from the kiosks AND the Disneyland App will let you know when you are eligible for your next FP reservation. Pay attention to this and the current FP return times (again, check the App) to maximize your FP usage.

    * Currently, Disneyland has installed some WiFi access throughout both Parks, but it is still not as reliable as your cellular connection (and that can depend upon whether you are in a building, etc.) My advice is to use your mobile data plan and only use the Disneyland App with MaxPass to reserve FastPasses. Use your admission media/AP to scan in at FastPass return lines AND with PhotoPass photographers.

    * Yes, Premiere Passholders also get MaxPass as part of their benefits.

    * At this time, there are not “Magical Moment” pictures on attractions in DL/DCA. Just the normal ride photos. Also note these are not automatically added to your PhotoPass account, as there is no way for the attractions to know it is you riding (remember DL does not utilize Magic Bands – yet – and therefore does not have the mid-range low power wifi that the bands do, to allow receivers throughout the parks to track your movement.) What you need to do is go to the usual monitors after exiting the ride, look for your picture and make a note of the number shown on the monitor. Then go into your Disneyland App under PhotoPass and add in the number where shown. It usually appears in app in a few minutes.

  • Are there special pictures on certain attractions? Indiana Jones has flashes at the end but no picture. Is it like the photo pass/magic band at Walt Disney World where you see your picture when you log into your account? Or just the regular photo pass that we (signature pass holders) have now?

  • Do Premiere Passholders also get MaxPass as part of their entitlement?

  • When will there be strong and reliable cellular or Wifi service available throughout the Disneyland Resort (even during times of high demand) so that MaxPass is a viable option?

  • This option is not viable for a family of 6. My 5 year old doesn’t need photo downloads. I would use this if it was just my wife and me and we were only going for 3 days or less. How about another option that doesn’t allow photo downloads for $5 per day? I want the online fast pass reservation, but I don’t want the photo downloads.

  • “You can make your next Disney FASTPASS …. As soon as your mobile Disney FASTPASS barcode has been scanned at an attraction.”

Very concerning to me, previously you could get a fast pass after 2 hours, they still sat on the paper fastpasses “next fastpasses available at 2pm” when I got space mountain fastpasses at noon, yet we were turned away from using my 3pm fastpasses from haunted mansion because we had to use our fastpasses for space mountain first..

new rule I guess, I guess we should be thankful both had 3pm windows, often getting a space fastpass at noon may have a return time at the end of the day making future passes impossible with the new rule

  • How long does the introductory price of $10 last and what will be the price following? Thx.

  • Do you get all of the photos Disneyland photographers take? Or just magic shots and attraction photos?
