Alien Pizza Planet Landing Soon at Disneyland Park

Oooooooooh – everyone’s favorite Aliens from Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story” will be invading Disneyland Resort for Pixar Fest, and we are eternally grateful! For the duration of the festival, Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port in Disneyland park will transform into Alien Pizza Planet – “A Better Place.” The Aliens have sourced the finest ingredients from across the universe to deliver fresh, hot pizzas that are out of this world. A specialty of their home planet Pepperonia is a special pepperoni pizza topped with green peppers and mushrooms. They’ll also be cooking up a hearty cheeseburger pizza with ketchup, yellow mustard and pizza sauce on a sesame seed crust and topped with cheese, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, slider patties, a house-made burger sauce, and pickles.

If you’re as excited as I am for this fun-filled re-imagination of Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port, stay tuned for more details on the deliciously cheesy menu.

This exciting transformation is just one of the many offerings coming as part of Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort, which will run from April 13 through September 3. The festival will span both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park, bringing not only creatively-themed food, but also a new fireworks show, “Together Forever—A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular,” the return of the “Paint the Night” parade and much more!

  • FINALLY! I have wanted a real “Pizza Planet” since I saw the movie more than 20 years ago. I hope they decide to completely renovate the restaurant once Pixar*Fest is over.

  • Why wasn’t this place “Pizza Planet” twenty years ago?!? Now they can take a few arcades that used to be in Starcade and put them in there to complete the effect.

  • Such a great, eye-catching introduction, Alex! Thank you so much for sharing. I’m so excited!

  • Is the Chicken Alfredo dish staying the same? The Alfredo dish is the best food in the entire park! I get it everytime I go!

  • this seemed inevitable, all I ask is that the signage be made to look more permanent than what was made for Red Rose Tavern just in case this ends up being permanent (as I don’t think anyone would be surprised by this).

  • Haha my family has always called it Pizza Planet anyway so…

  • My son with special needs always asked about pizza planet, sad that Walt Disney World closed their pizza planet, I hope that Disneyland keeps open the new pizza planet theme, that opening in April will be big.

  • Will they be changing the recipes for all pizza? I hate to be so negative, but Pizza Port sits at the very bottom of my pizza list. It would be great to see some upgrades to the recipe/ingredients and be able grab a good piece of pizza while in the park!

  • Alex,
You only mentioned the Pizza specialty, but are they going to continue to serve the Pasta selection during Pixar Fest?

  • Will they be keeping the count-down chicken fusilli pasta? If not, I will probably cry it’s SOOOOO good.

  • Will the chicken fusilli still be available?
